The interview began at 9.00 a.m and finished at 12.00 p.m and there were three sessions throughout the interview session. It is important to take your breakfast before going into any interview. My stomach ached in each session. Hahaa. Fortunately the interviewer did't notice at all. There are two presentation sessions and an interview session. Each session lasted for one hour. We were divided into three groups and had to undergo different session at a time.
- Interview session
My group was interviewed by two interviewer. They actually not from JPA but they are the ones who will judge us. We were all interviewed at the same time, not individually. They will ask about ourselves, why we chosen the major in engineering and the preferred countries to continue our studies. I wanted to continue my study in mechanical engineering in Germany. So I have to elaborate what I know about mechanical engineering and why Germany. This is when we had to convince the interviewer that we had done our researches about what we are going to study and where we want to go. Oh and the fortunate part is this session was conducted in Malay and English. So don't be stress =)..Just be sure that you had made some research because my friend who wanted to take chemical engineering was asked about RON 95 and RON 97. RON is actually the Rate of Octane Number. We could not made up any idea about what it is.
In these presentations, my group was assigned to present on a topic a about how the youngsters of Malaysia can instill sense of belonging and patriotism nowadays. We were given 30 minutes to discuss and 15 minutes to present it to the panels. Be sure that each and everyone in the group can give their own ideas, communicate with them all the time so the panels can see that the group is cooperating with each other. When you presenting the topic it is better if an introduction and a conclusion is included. It's better when it goes by the flow right. The medium of language here is English and Malay. One session is in English and the other one is in Malay.
Be sure that you
